Weekly Update

Hello Parents!

We had a great week! Please note that the scholars are still learning daily procedures and are working on collecting their things at the end of the day. Everything with a name will stay in our classroom. Please be aware that Athenaeum does use our room. Items that are not labeled, may be misplaced or relocated to the lost and found. We appreciate your help with labeling everything. If you scholar leaves something behind, please ask them to get it the next day. It will be waiting for them in the classroom.

Your scholar is not required to wear a belt in kindergarten. If your scholar is struggling using a belt, please feel free to wait until later in the year before practicing with the belt.

Library books will come home on Wednesday. Please return them Monday so we can re-shelve them for the next week's library use. The blog is updated with the link for parent volunteers for our library time. Please sign up if you're available and have your fingerprint clearance card!

Have a wonderful week!

Sincerley,

First Full Week!

Hello Parents!

We are excited to have our first full week in the books!

This Thursday is our curriculum night. Please come to learn more about the amazing year we have in store! Please note this is a parent only event.

Homework will start next Monday. Enjoy the week without it!

Please empty your scholars green folder each night. We have communication that goes home throughout the week that you may find helpful.

Have a beautiful weekend with your family!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Ross and Mrs. DeMeese

Procedures and Introductions

Happy Monday!

We are ready to begin the first full week of school! The first two days were almost entirely procedures and expectations. We were incredibly encouraged at how much the scholars retained, and how well they all listened.

We adjusted our schedule to have snack around 9:30, due to the children being absolutely famished before recess time!

Please send their snack in a pocket in their backpack so we can expedite the unpacking process in the morning. It adds a considerable amount of time to sort through the lunch boxes. We appreciate your help with this!

Please click on the newsletter page to view our weekly newsletter. We will update you each week with what we studied, activities to do with your scholar, and upcoming events.
